Your attention is appreciated.
YOUR ACTION IS ESSENTIAL!
The legislative session for 2010 is in full swing, and continues until April 12 (and it is an election year!).
If you haven't already, NOW is the time to write to and/or call your elected officials
Even if you have, write again and let your officials know your opinion has not changed.
If you are concerned about the possible sale of State-owned land to private developer(s) for the purpose of high density development, you can write to your elected officials.
If you are concerned about State House Bill 1161, which would provide public funding tools designed for Transit Oriented Development zones to be used for "private commercial developments" on State Hospital lands, contact your elected State delegates!
Send a copy of your letter to State Officials, and cc your County and other Local officials (elected or appointed).
Not sure who your County and State elected officials are? Check out this nifty website!

V. U.S. Members of Congress
The possible sale of State land is a State issue, not a federal issue. However, our US Congressman representing Catonsville (in the 7th Maryland District, which also includes sections of Baltimore City and Howard County), Elijah E. Cummings, has indicated support for the Promenade. To keep our elected officials informed about constituents' positions on this issue, consider cc'ing your letter to Senators Cardin and Mikulski, and Congressman Cummings.
Note that it takes two weeks for paper mail to reach a US Congress person's Washington office, due to security procedures. Therefore, you may want to email and fax your letter instead. Since the issue at hand is a Maryland issue, we have listed addresses of local district offices.
